RHET are running a STEM packed educators workshop visit to a robotic dairy farm
Exclusively for teachers this event will highlight the STEM utilised on a dairy farm and provide ideas for classroom engagement.
The training is open to secondary and upper primary teachers and the session will fit particularly well with STEM, geography and health and wellbeing.
This is an opportunity to meet with Colin Laird, who manages the family farm, and discover how he is using modern technology and robots to improve the efficiency, health and productivity of the farm. They have a herd of over a 1000 dairy cows and milk 530 daily, undertaken by 10 robots.
Participants will have a tour of the farm, and have an opportunity to see the various technologies in use, ask questions and see how using a resource such as a farm can enhance pupil learning, in real life situations.
