#ThanksForTheChance

This Scottish Apprenticeship Week, we’re asking employers, learning providers and apprentices to share their stories of who gave them a chance in the workplace.

By sharing our stories we can recognise the mentors, bosses and businesses that helped shape our careers and make us what we are today.

In doing so, we can inspire those who can create opportunities for young people who are facing the toughest of challenges.

Whether you’re an apprentice, work with apprentices or anyone who wants to take two seconds to recognise someone who’s been important in your career, #ThanksForTheChance is open to everyone.

Apprentices
Who’s giving you your big shot? Who’s inspiring you and helping you develop new skills? It could be a manager, instructor, learning provider or work colleague. Give them a shout out to say #ThanksForTheChance.

Managers and instructors
We’ve all been helped along the way, and don’t often get the chance to publicly recognise the people that made a difference to us. Share the stories of the mentors and managers that gave you a chance in your career.

Employers
Encourage colleagues across the business to participate. Learning providers – encourage your apprentices and employers to get involved and support the campaign. Recognise any organisations helping you to develop your services.

Download the editable template below, and don't forget to share it across social media using the hashtags: #ThanksfortheChance #BusinessBackingTalent
