​Signmaster is a trade sign manufacturer, we are based in Kelso and have been for 30 years. Signmaster is a part of the PFI Group, a group of sign companies throughout the UK comprising of 14 sign companies with complimentary skills and clients. Our collective annual turnover is in excess of £48M making us the largest sign group in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. Our group clients are some of the largest and most well-known brands giving us the privilege of working on some very high-profile projects. Amazon, Tesco, Rolls Royce, Vauxhall, Citroen, Peugeot, MAN Trucks and Post Office are customers who we are currently working with delivering products on an ongoing basis. 
Signmaster has experienced a period of growth over the last 12 months which has necessitated the need to increase our estimating and sales admin staff.
We are currently recruiting to fill this busy role, the successful candidate will undergo training and support to read and translate technical drawings and documents to enable them to generate commercial quotations on our bespoke software package to tender and win business to support our busy factory with ongoing production work.

This is an office-based role, working as part of a team in a permanent and full-time position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable them to manage and deal with customers by e-mail and telephone along with very good mental arithmetic skills to allow them to calculate critical values on the spot. Holding a high NAT 5 grade in both English and Maths would be a requirement for this role.

The successful candidate will work from 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3 pm on a Friday and will receive 28 days annual leave per annum inclusive of public holidays. Pay will be agreed and will be at least NMW. As part of the recruitment process, if you are selected, you will be invited to attend our offices for an informal chat where you will sit an aptitude test to confirm your suitability for the role.

This test will be based around a simple maths test where your ability to calculate percentages, money values, area, angles and mental arithmetic will be confirmed.

The second element will require you to provide a short personal statement based on your character, your hobbies, your personal attributes and ambitions within the workplace.
