"Lochcarron of Scotland is a leading designer and manufacturer of tartan fabric and products based at Selkirk in the Scottish Borders."
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Darner to join our busy production department at our factory in Selkirk. The Darner is responsible for inspecting and mending woven products to ensure they meet the Company’s quality standards, examining for flaws and subsequently mending any imperfections.

Duties will include:
  • Inspecting woven goods on an inspection table and identifying any faults.
  • Mending and repairing woven goods.
  • Work closely with other darners in the team and assist each other when necessary.
  • Ensure completed work is accurate and to the appropriate quality standard.

Full training will be given to the right candidate.
This is a permanent role, 39 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday.
