Location: Innerleithen
Contract: Temporary, Maternity leave cover
Salary: £
10.50 per hour

I am an elderly lady in Innerleithen, with visual impairment, who requires some assistance at home. I would like to remain as independent as possible but need support to do so.  It is important to ensure I am safe, assist me with personal care, prepare and heat meals and provide guidance with my medication.​

​Hours of work
  • This position is to cover maternity leave so is on a temporary basis only.
  • Hours of work are:
  • Thursday – 1 hour at bedtime – times flexible by arrangement;
  • Friday – 1 hour at bedtime – times flexible by arrangement;
  • Saturday – 1 hour at bedtime – times flexible by arrangement; and
  • Sunday – 1 hour at bedtime – hours flexible by arrangement.
  • Relief cover for holidays and absence of other carers.
  • ​
The terms
  • Rate of pay is £10.50 per hour, increasing to £11.50 per hour after 3 month probation.
  • Mileage is paid at a rate of 40p per mile, if the car is used as part of your duties e.g. GP or hospital visits, shopping etc.
  • 6 weeks annual leave on a pro-rata basis.
  • Post subject to satisfactory references and PVG checks.
