As part of our commitment to talent development we are now accepting applications for our 2021 Apprentice Programme which commences in August 2021 for you to join as a Network Service Operator (Water) Modern Apprentice based in the Scottish Borders area. What will you be doing? During this 4 year programme, you’ll be learning everything you need to know about how our Network Service Operators (NSO’s) are vital to delivering a positive customer experience. They support our customers on a daily basis, resolving water related issues by repairing and maintaining our water infrastructure and supplies. That means most of your days will be spent outdoors working as part of an expert and experienced team who will support you to develop your skills and knowledge and achieve a nationally recognised qualification. The role you are developing towards requires out of hours working and you will be expected to participate in this at some point during your apprenticeship programme. This is your chance to learn as you earn, working with industry-leading teams to help deliver services that are essential to the daily lives of the people of Scotland. Who are we looking for? We’re looking for people who are self-directed, team players who are good at solving problems and enjoy being outdoors. You should be practical and well organised with a positive attitude and the ability to work on your own initiative. You’ll have five National 4 or 5 Qualifications (English, Maths and Science are advantageous but not essential) and a full UK driving licence (or currently be working to achieve this).
