"DHCO IT Ltd are looking for an Apprentice IT Technician to be based in their Kelso office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience and join a busy IT team who not only provide daily support and maintenance for their own in-house systems but also provide support to a varied IT client base."
As part of the Support Team, you will be expected to take ownership in providing first line support to end users, identifying issues and creating appropriate solutions to resolve service incidents and requests. With full on the job training you will also earn a Modern Apprenticeship as an IT Professional at SCQF Level 6 Diploma (comparable to a HNC or first year of University).
You will then have the option to progress onto IT Professional at SCQF Level 8 on completion for free (comparable to a HND or second year of University).

What will I learn?
During your apprenticeship you will gain experience in troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and a working knowledge in the following areas:
• Windows Server experience from 2012 onwards
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange
• Windows desktop from version 10 onwards
• Microsoft 365
• Virtualised environments such as Citrix, VMware or Hyper V
• Backup technologies for Disaster recovery
• Network troubleshooting
What qualification or qualities are required?
You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement
