Location: West Linton
Contract: Full and Part-time available
Salary: £10.50-£12 p/h

​The Social Care Community Partnership are looking to recruit a number of Care Assistants near Peebles to meet the needs of a client's residential care and creative day service working with adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for dynamic and positive individuals that enjoy art, drama and outdoor activities to provide a fulfilling, caring and supportive environment.

​Care Assistant

As a Health Care Assistant with The Social Care Community Partnership you can choose to have flexible working arrangements with us. Depending on your circumstances we can offer you regular work in advance or we can be flexible to accommodate your family needs. We offer day shifts or night shifts, long days or long nights during the week or at the weekend.

Requirements for this role
  • You must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with people with learning disabilities.
  • You must have experience in assisting/administering medication.
  • You must have experience in delivering personal care, assistance with dressing/undressing, assisting in and out of bed and assistance with meal preparation.
  • Ideally we are looking to hear from candidates who possess professional qualifications such as an SVQ2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent although this is not essential.
  • Current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council is also highly desirable although this can be done when on boarding with our company for employment.
  • This is an essential car users post due to rural areas being travelled to.
  • You must have a minimum of 6 months care experience.
  • You must provide us with 2 x Employment References.
  • You must have a current PVG Membership.
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
