Job role: Developing the Young Workforce Borders - School Coordinators Hours: 1 x Full Time (Galashiels - 35 hrs per week) 2 x Part Time - (Berwickshire & Peebles - 17.5 hrs per week) Salary: £28,850.00 per annum, pro rata Contract: Term time only, Fixed Term Contract initially until March 2024 Based: In one of the three schools, with some home working Closing Date: Monday 8th January 2024 (12 noon) We are seeking to appoint three School Coordinators to be based in Berwickshire, Peebles and Galashiels High Schools The Coordinators support the Programme Officer and the Programme Manager to deliver a programme of employer engagement in the schools, which aims to enhance the curriculum, widen the students knowledge of career pathways and enable them to build the skills needed to succeed in the world of work. The roles will contribute towards the priorities of DYW Borders and help all young people to achieve a positive destinations post school, as set out in the Young Person Guarantee. The Scottish Government has Grant funded the DYW national network until March 2024 and are expected to announce further funding beyond this in the 24/25 budget.
